Dr. Christopher D. Hromalik is the Assistant Provost for Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) Accessibility at SUNY System Administration. In this role, he serves as the lead expert and a resource to the EIT Accessibility Officers at SUNY’s 64 campuses, including coordination of system-wide activities and events. He also serves as the EIT Accessibility Officer for SUNY System Administration, establishing processes and systems to ensure that SUNY System Administration staff comply with SUNY’s EIT Accessibility policy and applicable accessibility laws and regulations.

Dr. Hromalik has over twenty years of experience in higher education. Prior to joining the DIAS Leadership Team, he was Assistant Professor of Spanish and Distance Learning Instruction and Design at SUNY Oswego (2023-2026) and Professor of Spanish at Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, NY (2005-2023). He also founded and serves as the Associate Director of Universal Design for Learning at SUNY (2021-present), which is funded by the Enhancing Supports and Services for Students with Disabilities for Postsecondary Success program from the Office of University Life at SUNY System Administration.

Dr. Hromalik has led digital accessibility and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) professional development since 2011. In addition, Dr. Hromalik’s research focuses on the impact of UDL instruction on faculty practice and student learning outcomes. He also serves as a methodologist for researchers at other institutions, specializing in the application of advanced statistical analysis techniques to research in applied linguistics and education.
