Grading in the Blackboard Instructor App
Grading in the Blackboard Instructor App
The BB Grader app will be removed on March 29, 2019. Instead, instructors can now grade in the Blackboard Instructor app.
*Campuses on the Blackboard Learn Q2 2018 release will be able to grade assignments in the instructor app.
How to Grade Assignment in Blackboard App
Locate the assignment in the Needs Attention area. Click on the assignment you want to grade. Select Begin Grading
The document will load in Box. If the document does not load, the student may not have submitted a compatible file in Blackboard.
You will notice two icons: draw and comment in the right-hand corner of box. Use the pencil to draw, write notes, and draw through text. Click on the comment box to post a comment for the student. To leave a comment, click anywhere on the screen. After you are done annotating the submission, click the X in the left-hand corner.
Assign the student a grade and click on the comment area to leave overall feedback for the student.
After you enter a grade, it will not sync to the grade center until you post the grade(s). Select a single assignment or multiple assignments, and then click Post Selected.
After the grades are posted, you can view the current grade average for that assignment, locate new submissions that are ready to grade, or post grades for additional assignments.
